MTB World Cup #1 - Pietermaritzburg

Pietermaritzburg? I here you say. Oh yes, the sleepy hollow will host the first round of the 2009 Nissan UCI MTB World Cup. Kinda makes me wish I was back there this weekend.

All is not lost though as thanks to Freecaster I'll be able to watch most of it from a kinda wet London.

Here's hoping Greg Minnaar does his stuff in front of a home crowd.

Sunset Rubdown - Dragonslayer & London tour dates

Sunset Rubdown might possibly be the greatest band in the world. A big statement but hey, it's my blog I can say what I like.

After missing out on seeing Spencer Krug and Sunset Rubdown last year I welcome a new album and new tour. Though while touring europe at the moment, they don't seem to be heading to the UK. Rumour has it that this will be in September. Let's pray. If anyone has any inside info on this it would be greatly appreciated.

On the 23 June 2009, Sunset Rubdown release Dragonslayer through Jagjaguwar, the tracklisting seems to be :

1. Silver Moons
2. Idiot Heart
3. Apollo and the Buffalo and Anna Anna Anna Oh!
4. Black Swan
5. Paper Lace
6. You Go On Ahead (Trumpet Trumpet II)
7. Nightingale / December Song
8. Dragon's Lair

Idiot heart can be heard on the brilliant Daytrotter sessions, though don't be surprised if it's a completely different version on the album.

A picture 7" called 'Introducing Moonface' has now been released and can be bought at Agoo Records Store. It's limited to 500 copies seemingly so best start ordering if you want one.
